Weidong Shao is a software engineer at Google. He is a part-time MS student in Computational Mathematics. He received MSEE from University of Maryland and BS degree from Tsinghua University in Beijing, China.

M180: Pythagorean Theorem: Several Interesting Proofs and Facts in Splash! Fall 2008 (Oct. 18, 2008)
In this session, we will revisit Pythagorean Theorem. We will introduce several amazing proofs and some of its applications or fun facts. - A few proofs - Pythagorean Triples, which are integers a, b, c that satisfy $$a^2 + b^2 = c^2 $$ Can we find all such triples? - Rational numbers on unit circle (circle of radius 1) - Construction of irrational numbers.
