P3943: Climate Change for Non-Scientists in Splash Fall 2014 (Nov. 08 - 09, 2014)
The funny thing about climate change is that it affects everyone, but very few actually understand it. Well, if the climate is changing, then so should we. Each and every one of you should know what our generation will be battling in terms of sea level rise, population displacement, changes in food supply production, coral reef destruction, and loss of biodiversity. In this class, we will cover the basics of climate change: what causes the rise in global temperatures, the related consequences, and how we are working to mitigate its effects. We will also discuss what you, the Z generation, can do to address the global sustainability challenge no matter what career you end up in.
