E8081: Permission to "Plagiarize": Using Biomimicry to Engineer Climate Solutions in Splash Fall 2024 (Nov. 16 - 17, 2024)
We'll build biomimicry-based engineering solutions (mini solar-panel rovers, boats, trains, wind turbines, etc). For decades, biomimicry has helped scientists and engineers create solutions to address climate change. From the invention of solar panels from plant cells, less fossil-fuel dependtent transportation from bird beaks, to more efficient wind turbines from fish/whale fins... these inventions have revolutionized the way we use solar, wind, and hydroelectric energy for a more sustainable future.
