E1073: The Basics of CFD in Splash! Fall 2010 (Nov. 13 - 14, 2010)
Computers are pretty handy when it comes to understanding how fluids move around objects. In this course, we'll take a glance at some of the basic ideas used in computational fluid mechanics (CFD). We'll also see examples of CFD in action, including (but not limited to) golf balls in flight, blood flow in the body, and shockwaves.
