Brief Biographical Sketch:

I am a second year graduate student in the Department of Biochemistry at the Stanford School of Medicine. I completed my co-terminal Bachelor's and Master's in Biochemical Engineering and Biotechnology at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, India. I have done research in varied fields during my undergraduate career ranging from the fusion of oil droplets in water, to developing vaccines for malaria, to the formation of amyloid fibers from proteins. I am interested in all biological phenomena, and in finding creative ways to understand them. Presently, I am working on understanding how calcium channels in the brain are linked to psychiatric diseases.
