Brief Biographical Sketch:
Senior at The Branson School and author of "El Centro Basco," a one-act play selected for production at The Berkeley Rep School of Theatre in its One Acts Program, which premiered on April 3, 2009 and was performed before live audiences five times. The author wrote the play after taking a Splash class on script-writing in 2008. The ISBN-10 number is 0-615-26900-1; the ISBN-13 number is 978-0-615-26900-9. The author was granted a Chilton Fellowship to convert the play into a screenplay and film it during the summer of 2009. The film is in post-production. A step-by-step presentation of how to adapt the script for a one-act play into the screenplay for a feature film. The teacher will provide concrete examples based on his adaptation of the script for “El Centro Basco,” which was produced for five performances by the Berkeley Rep School of Theatre, starting in April 2009.
