Brief Biographical Sketch:
Hi! I’m Anna, a Master’s student studying Mechanics and Computation within the Structural Engineering and Mechanics program. My interests lie in earthquake and geotechnical engineering, especially when it comes to enhancing infrastructure resilience. My work focuses on areas like liquefaction, numerical modeling, and dams, with the aim of using physics-based models to create innovative solutions that improve safety in the face of seismic events and other natural hazards. Outside of academics, I enjoy road trips, biking, discovering new foods, spending time with friends, singing, and photography. Looking forward to SPLASH this year! Past Classes(Clicking a class title will bring you to the course's section of the corresponding course catalog)E8193: Designing Safe Structures: Earthquakes and Engineering in Splash Fall 2025 (Nov. 15 - 16, 2025)
Learn the fundamentals of structural engineering and its importance in phenomena like earthquakes and wind! Students will then apply their knowledge by constructing and testing model structures to evaluate their stability and resilience.
E8118: Designing Safe Structures: Earthquakes, Wind, and Engineering in Splash Spring 2025 (May. 24 - 25, 2025)
Learn the fundamentals of structural engineering and its importance in phenomena like earthquakes and wind! Students will then apply their knowledge by constructing and testing model structures to evaluate their stability and resilience.
